Frequently Asked Questions

Are you accepting new clients?

Yes, I am. If what you’ve read here feels like a good fit, I’d love to hear from you and explore how we might work together. Contact me here

Who do you work with?

I work with both adults and teens from many different backgrounds. Some people come to therapy for support with depression, anxiety, trauma, or other mental health concerns. Others want to lower stress, build healthier relationships, feel more confident, or find a stronger sense of purpose.

How do we get started?

We’ll begin with a short phone call (about 15 minutes) to talk through what you’re looking for and answer any questions you may have. If it feels like a good match, we’ll schedule your first session and I’ll guide you through setting up paperwork in my secure Client Portal. Contact me here.

How often would we meet, and for how long?

Most clients start with weekly 50-minute sessions to create consistency and momentum. Some find what they need in a handful of sessions, while others continue for several months or longer — it all depends on your goals and what feels right for you.

Will I need a diagnosis?

Sometimes, yes — especially if you plan to use insurance reimbursement. But we’ll talk about whether a diagnosis would be helpful in your situation. My focus is on understanding your experiences in context, not just applying a label.

What are sessions like with you?

Every session is different, depending on what you bring in. Sometimes therapy feels lighthearted and even includes laughter; other times it’s more reflective, vulnerable, or challenging. All of it is welcome here. My role is to offer support, curiosity, and compassion as you move through the process.

Do you offer in-person or online sessions?

I offer both In-person (Palo Alto) and Online sessions (via a secure link).

What is your fee?

Sessions are $200 for 50 minutes. If you’re not using insurance reimbursement, I’ll provide a Good Faith Estimate before we begin so costs are clear.

How do I pay?

Payment is due at the time of your session. You can pay by credit card, debit card, check, or cash through my secure Client Portal.

Do you take insurance?

I don’t bill insurance directly, but I can provide a monthly superbill you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies, so I encourage you to check with your provider.

Where can I find your policies and client rights?

You’ll find details on my Policies and Disclaimers page, including privacy practices and client rights. If you ever have questions, I’m happy to talk them through with you.
